“We are excited to see the demanding work and commitment of our employees celebrated,” said David Corrigan, President of Corrigan Moving. “We realize everything our offices and team members do each day to make our company thrive; it’s fantastic to see that dedication acknowledged. We have the most special group of experts at Corrigan, seeing that showcased at this accolades ceremony makes me very proud.”

The yearly Unigroup Learning Conference reverted to an in-person event this year. Hosted close to the Unigroup HQ in St. Louis, MO, the event is attended by numerous delegates from various United and Mayflower branches throughout the United States. After 3 days of events consisting of programs and seminars, the event always ends with an accolade ceremony.

“I can’t recall the last event we didn’t receive an accolade of some kind,” said Kirk Hensler, Vice President of Operations. “That speaks to the level of reliable excellence of our drivers, move experts and office team members. It’s wonderful to never go home unacknowledged.”

While several of Corrigan’s offices took top recognition, a few of Corrigan’s individual teammates took home honors in their respective categories. For the second year straight, Cassandra McCann from the Grand Rapids, MI branch received the Heart of Quality honor. This honor is awarded just to the top tier of relocation coordinators in the Unigroup system. To be eligible to win this award, relocation coordinators are required to have immaculate customer opinion scores and complete ongoing yearly training.

“We’ve had many relocation coordinators earn this accolade, and we’re so proud of Cassandra for winning two years consecutively. She goes above and beyond for her clients. They recognize how much she does, we recognize it, and now she has an additional trophy to add to her stockpile,” said David Corrigan.

Myron Luikart works in Corrigan’s unique Logistics division, working mostly on big projects. “Receiving 2 Masters Club Inner Circle accolades in the same year is difficult to manage, however he achieved it. If somebody has to discover a way to get something solved, it’s Myron. He brings incredible experience to our company and his customers. He services many of our largest-scale projects and manages them all with incredible care. He’s truly an asset for us, we’re pleased he received some appreciation today,” said Kirk Hensler.

On top of to Luikart’s awards, many members of Corrigan’s sales category were accepted into United’s elite Million Dollar Club for their excellent sales performance. These professionals embody an outstanding dedication to excellence in annual serviced linehaul revenue. Acknowledged were, Brandon Becker, Ann Arbor, MI office, Tim Carney, Cleveland, OH office, Rob Galardi, Rochester, NY location, Craig James, Auburn Hills, MI office and Mike Sparks, Buffalo, NY location. “Each of these men have gone above and beyond in sales and truly demonstrated a commitment to assisting our clients,” stated David Corrigan. “We are honored to have all of them on our team.”

Three Corrigan offices won the Customer Excellence accolade, a notable honor spotlighting the devotion to customer satisfaction. When their move is finished, clients are asked to rank various parts of their move. This includes the primary evaluation process, their relocation coordinator, packing, loading and delivery process. Each branch corresponds to a various size category, dependent on how many relocations they manage each year. To be eligible to win, each office must have the highest feedback score in their size category, as well as meeting or exceeding the standards set for claims (volume of damage disclosed during a move), safety and certified labor.

“This is not a simple award to achieve. Standards are incredibly high, and you need be close to perfect in every category. To have 3 offices win for their particular size categories once again spotlights the pride we take in delivering top quality to our clients,” said David Corrigan.

Lastly, the Cleveland office was recognized with the Centers Network Performance award. This honor pertains to the Snap Move Container Program, where a customer pays for our movers to load, transport and deliver their items inside wooden vaults. This selection can quicken service for small jobs, compared to standard in-van moving options. The vaults are sent to the closest United agent to where the client is relocating, who then assists with delivering the goods inside of those containers.

“The Centers Network Performance award is only presented to 2 agents. One winner is for locations that service 0 to 200 containers, and the other recipient is for over 200 containers,” said Kirk Hensler. “Corrigan Cleveland received the Centers Network Performance accolade for 0-200 containers. They were greatest among 94 agents. Factors that are evaluated are claims, efficiency in getting the vaults ready for pick up, timeliness in delivering inbound containers, and customer satisfaction.”

“It was wonderful to return to in person this year,” said David Corrigan, recollecting the event. “It’s been a tough couple of years navigating the pandemic and now labor shortages. Spending time with our fellow agents and seeing how they’re working through problems supplies us fresh ideas to take back. Several of these companies are facing the same difficulties we are and it’s a good chance to learn from one another, assist each other and continue to foster lasting friendships with our agents. We depend on them to help our customers in areas we don’t have a Corrigan location. They know they can always depend on Corrigan to deliver top level service for all of their clients, as well. Overall, this was a wonderfully effective conference and I couldn’t be prouder of how Corrigan Moving was depicted and awarded.”
